Why book it
Why Tattoo Removal
An honest plan, not a sales pitch
Size, ink, age, colour and placement all change how a tattoo comes off. We look at yours, tell you roughly how many sessions it will take and what it will cost, and we'd rather say 'this one will be stubborn' than sell you a course that disappoints.
Fading for a cover-up is cheaper and faster
If you want new work over the top, you don't need full clearance. A handful of sessions is often enough to give your artist a clean canvas — and it costs a fraction of removing it outright.
Sessions are short
Most pieces take between five and twenty minutes on the bed. The tattoo took longer to get than it takes to treat.
Properly spaced, properly aftercared
Your body clears the shattered ink, not the laser — so sessions are spaced six to eight weeks apart to let it work. Rushing removal is how people end up with scarring.
How it works
How It Works
Three steps from your first message to your tattoo removal appointment.
- 1
Free consultation & patch test
Bring the tattoo in and we'll price it accurately, estimate the number of sessions, and patch test a small area. No obligation to book anything.
- 2
Your first session
We treat the piece and cover it. You'll see frosting straight away, which settles within the hour, and we send you home with clear aftercare.
- 3
Return every six to eight weeks
Each session breaks the ink down further and your body clears it in between. Six to twelve sessions is typical for full clearance and fewer for a cover-up fade, though it varies with ink, depth, age and placement.

Questions, Answered
How many sessions will it take?
Six to twelve is typical for full clearance, and often only three to five if you're fading for a cover-up — but it varies with ink, depth, age and placement, which is why we quote after seeing the piece rather than before. Black ink clears most easily; greens and light blues are the stubborn ones.
Why can't you quote me over the phone?
Because any number given without seeing the tattoo is a guess, and we'd rather not start by getting it wrong. Size, ink density, age and placement all move the price. The consultation is free and takes fifteen minutes.
Will it scar?
Scarring is uncommon when sessions are properly spaced and the aftercare is followed, but no laser treatment is risk-free and we won't tell you otherwise. The risk rises with over-treating, sessions crammed too close together, or aftercare being ignored — which is why we space ours six to eight weeks apart and go through the risks with you at your consultation.
Does it hurt more than getting the tattoo?
It's sharper but far shorter — a hot elastic band snap rather than a needle. A piece that took two hours to tattoo takes minutes to treat.
Can you fade it enough for a cover-up?
Yes, and it's the most common reason people come to us. Tell us at your consultation that you're covering rather than clearing and we'll plan a shorter, cheaper course aimed at giving your artist a workable base.
